Workers can stay for up to 9 consecutive months on a valid H-2B visa.

It generally takes about 120 – 130 days to complete the approval process.

Worker’s wages are determined by the government via the Prevailing Wage determination process (this wage is different for each employer).

The H-2B nonimmigrant program permits employers to temporarily hire nonimmigrants to perform nonagricultural labor or services in the United States. The employment must be of a temporary nature for a limited period of time such as a one-time occurrence, seasonal need, peak load need or intermittent need.
The employer’s request must be supported by prior years payroll records, sales records, contracts. etc…..
